We would be able to consolidate a separate routing device if this were supported
You can do UDO’s for this but it’s a bit dopey because every time you make a change for that switch group you will have ospf effectively reset all ospf adjacencies which deffo is not ideal when just making a small change to a switchport or something.
I agree there should be built in support to make it less janky.
