cnVision Hub 360r Reset via Power Sequence Option

Hey,

I have deployed cnVision radios on street furniture (lamp columns). Unfortunately the power supply can be unstable and it’s an issue that is beyond our control.

The issue I have is specific to the cnVision Hub. By default the Reset via Power Sequence is enabled and CANNOT be disabled. The radio button to disable is visible, but greyed out. Oddly, you can disable on the mini and micro radios. I have upgraded to 4.7, which is the most current version readily available.

As the power can be unstable I am having instances where the Hub is resetting and requiring a truck roll (9 hour round trip) to resolve. This is unacceptable when the feature is there. A UPS is not a solution.

I raised a support ticket with Cambium who cannot provide and assistance and there doesn’t appear to be a CLI command to disable this feature. They have asked that I raise the issue here.

Please allow me to disable this feature. The truck rolls are costing more than the radio’s are worth and it’s getting to the point where I’d be better off swapping the radios for anothe vendor that doesn’t factory reset when there’s a power loss.

Hello,
Let me get in touch via email, and we will resolve this.

Copying in a comment from the support ticket, there is a CLI command that might work:

Hub_360_ab530c>config set powerSequenceFactoryDefault 0
Hub_360_ab530c>config commit

@dodders668, please let us know if that command works for you.
