cnWave 60GHz maximum at 1km deployment

Hello Team

Can you please advice. I pretend to deploy a link with 1 km range using cnwave 60GHz (V5000 or V1000), a expect to get up to 2Gbps of capacity. What is the feasibility of this. I remember reading that V3000 PTP can go up to 1.5Km

Jony,

To go 1 km with high reliability, you need to use v3000 to v3000 in point to point mode. You can get 1.8 Gb/s in both DL and UL on a single channel, 2.5 Gb/s or so in both directions using channel bonding (2 channels)

Just for reference, here is a chart of approximate max range (for high performance) from each of the cnWave 60 GHz devices:
v5000 to v5000: 100m
v5000 to v1000: 100m
v5000 to v2000: 250m
v5000 to v3000: 500m
v1000 to v1000 PTP mode: 100m
v2000 to v2000 PTP mode: 350m
v3000 to v3000 PTP mode 1.2 km

In PTP mode, v1000, v2000, and v3000 may be used together. The max range you can expect can be extrapolated from the table.

V3K to V3K is the best option.

During your design phase, I would strongly suggest to get the performance prediction done by link planner.
This would help you pick right devices.

Thanks for the reference

I will start from this point. Thank you
