cnWave v3000 e2e controller

can I change my channel on my radios remotely using vpn without cnmaestro if e2e controller onboarding is enabled. If i change on the master will it change on the client side as well and where to check on my configurations if it is set to take changes from the master

Hi Maiza,
Of course you can change channels remotely. Log into the v3000 that has the E2E onboard controller using a browser, and change the radio configuration. The unit will reboot when you have finished, and the link will drop. Since you still have the link configured, the CN v3000 will scan for the E2E controller enabled v3000, and re-establish the link on the new channels, or channels. Dave.

Dave is correct with the current software load, you should just change the DN side.

  1. If the far end is a CN, it will be down to the rescan timeout which default to 120sec. Once the DN is changed the link will drop and the CN after 120s rescans and pick the new channel.

  2. If the far side is a DN, we don’t set the DN rescan on as a default, so you must change the far side first.

In 1.5 (Nov) we are incorporating a new channel optimiser. It will check the network and change the channels to reduce interference. In this build it will change the channel without taking down the other sector, it replicates the channel change throughout the network automatically. When we release we’ll give you more information!

In cnMaestro 5.2.x we are including a map feature to channels on a DN, again more to come on that.
