Configuration pages removed from device UI in 7.1

Different issue here: It’s connected to my cnMaestro (on premise), but I missed menu configuration too:

What we did:
factory reset, bring to cnMaestro. update.
AP is working, within cnMaestro (net and Wi-Fi are ok), but webgui menu is missing.
reboot with backup firmware image: menu is ok.

From 7.1, GUI supports monitoring, basic networking and troubleshoot.

WHAT?

C’mon guys, don’t you think it could be a good idea to write it to the Release Notes?

Not loving the changes in the Local GUI

FYI, you can still get to all of the gui settings that used to be in the 6.x code, cambium just removed them from the gui menu system. If you type them in your browser after logging in to the gui they still work:

I hope after seeing this Cambium won’t remove these entirely, and conversely, will put them back in the gui menu. I get that they want to push everyone to cnMaestro, but for local troubleshooting it’s much easier than fiddling through the CLI, or fumbling around in cnMaestro.

These are confirmed working on the X7-35X running 7.0-r5 code, not sure about the 7.1 code.

If I have to trouble shoot anything I am using CNMaestro to get me the IP of the APs. Then I am bringing up their web interface. 5 seconds is a hell of a lot better than the 1-2 minutes it takes things to update in CN.

I have recently noticed that if I refresh the Dashboard Page… It won’t show changes. I have to switch to devices pages to see when clients move.

I get annoyed and just treat CN as a configurator. Its just too slow to work with in live time.

Yes, what a really bad idea to remove that things from GUI. No sense at all.

It’s just horrible. The latest v7 beta is out and Cambium has completely removed the URLs I posted on July 15th. Cambium clearly has taken their eyes off of their customers. Hopefully this is just a ‘beta’ issue. If not, Cambium, please restore this much-needed and much-used functionality.
