Working on a bit of QR generation for workorders in an OSS, works fine, but if we want to provide a paperless solution this doesn't currently seem possible.
Is there a way to create a deep-link or some way to trigger a workorder creation from an email or url, basically a way to pass QR content to the app without having to print and use the camera.
Save the JSON data in a file with ".cnarcher" extension and send it via email. The extension is assocuiated with cnArcher app, so when you click on it, it will open in the app in the new workorder screen.
We found that QR code becomes less reliable as the size of the data increases, so the recommended way is to use ".cnarcher" file.
In future, we will allow the workorder to be created from cnMaestro and assigned to an installer, but we don't have a date for that yet.
Copied the json into a 00-00-00-00-00-00.cnarcher file and sent it to an ios and android phone but neither of them seem to know how to open the file, my tech with android said it popped up and showed some apps but cnarcher wasn't an option. Ditto for ios...
File association works only on Android, not on iOS.
We tested few different Android phones and see that it is working correctly.
To help us troubeshoot this, can you uninstall the app, reinstall it, and try again? If it still fails, please send us the debug logs using "Report a bug" menu item.
It still pops up asking to look for an app in the store to open the .cnarcher file... even after reinstalling the app... I asked the technician to submit a bug report.
