Device names not appearing in cnMaestro after upgrade to 4.8

We have updated our ePMP 3000s and Force 300’s but most of our devices are no longer showing their names on cnMaestro, they now show names as not applicable

Hi,

Could you please send example of your AP name in DM please?

Thanks

I responded to your DM, maybe i will have revert to 4.7.1 until the matter is resolved because we not able to effectively monitor our service provisions.

I confirm! I had the same error on one of the devices.
You have to change the names manually. This is some BUG.

Unfortunately, my inbox is empty.
I would appreciate it if you can send it at my email fedor.trutsko(at)cambiumnetworks(dot)com

Thanks

I didn’t report it because I thought it was an isolated incident. For me, all I had to do was change the name and everything else worked fine. Now, when I noticed that someone has something similar, I conclude that it is some kind of BUG

The issue has been confirmed. The issue is relevant for device names longer than 32 characters.
Thanks for reporting and sending additional information on that.
The fix is coming in the next firmware release.

Thanks.

We have the same thing. So far Cambium support have advised to keep the Device name at 32 characters or shorter.
The name is still on the device when you log in so you know what one it is… Just make it 32 and it comes back in after the reboot.

PITA i know. Lets hope they fix that.
