What is the difference between MIR and CIR on the SM? What effect would enabling the HI PRIORITY on the SM have to do with customer’s Download speeds?
hi priority is for VOIP or other time sensitive data and it is CIR(committed information rate) basically the ap sets aside the amount of hi-priority bandwidth solely for that antenna.
MIR is the maximum information rate. Which is the maximum amount of bandwidth the antenna will allow to be passed (ie not dedicated)
CIR is bandwidth dedicated to that customer or antenna
Unless you are using VoIP or selling Business service with CIR - I would not enable either.
are you having problems with the network? They can probably be solved by other means.
