Different RSSI between AP and SM

How this is possible?

On AP I see -60, but on SM -48.. why??

I attach screenshots

Hi,

On th AP, the DL RSSI is an estimate. The SM showing -48 is the accurate RSSI. The title of that column used to say "Estimated DL RSSI" but it inadverdently got removed in the newer releases. We are also planning to implement something where the AP polls the SMs for thier Downlink RSSI to be more accurate.

Thanks,

Sriram

Judging from your photos...

SM EIRP is at 41dBm, with a noise floor of around -94dB.

AP EIRP (assuming you're using the OEM 90deg antenna @ 15dBi), is at 45dBm, with a noise floor of around -97dB.

The AP to SM distance is pretty short, so there's not a lot of free space loss in there.

That would give you a signal of around -56dBm at the AP

That would give you a signal of around -49dBm at the SM
