Downtilt on 450m

I am prepping some 450m’s for a move to a taller tower. Going from 15 feet to ~40 feet. Utilizing the calculation in LinkPlanner, The suggested DT’s were two at -9.0 and two at -7.0.

My question is, if LinkPlanner is telling me -9.0 and -7.0, Does that take into account the built in -2 degrees? Do we need to adjust the brackets to -7 and -5 to total -7 and -9? I saw a similar question in an older post, but I wanted to get absolute clarity due to the amount of customers on these AP’s.

Hi,

LINKPlanner accounts for the in-built tilt when calculating the performance so the tilt that is shown is the actual installation angle (-9 and -7 in this case).

Thanks,

Andy

Awesome, thank you for making that crystal clear for me. It’s a good distance to the AP and we have a 3rd party tower crew hanging the gear for us. I am trying to have a few return trips as possible.
