Enlace entre AP/SM y Ubiquiti | Link between AP/SM and Ubiquiti

I have a tower with four ePMP 3000 Access Points installed. In our general setup, we install an SM at the client’s location. Depending on the distance, we use models like the ePMP Force 300-13L SM, ePMP Force 300-19 SM, or ePMP Force 300-25 SM.

A client has a particular situation: due to line-of-sight issues, they wish to install the SM at a point far from their house and then set up an additional radio link on their own to connect to the residence. They mentioned wanting to do this using a Ubiquiti device.

I would like to know if this configuration is viable, especially regarding equipment compatibility, and if it’s possible to configure the ePMP 300-13L SM as an AP so it can connect directly to the client’s Ubiquiti device. If so, I would also like to confirm if the ePMP 300-13L SM could link to our tower’s ePMP 3000 AP in this mode.

Otherwise, I understand that the most common setup would be to configure the ePMP 300-13L in SM mode to connect directly to one of our tower’s APs, and then extend the signal via an Ethernet cable from the SM to a switch, and finally to the Ubiquiti device acting as a repeater within the client’s property.

Thank you in advance for your guidance to determine which of these options is feasible, or if there might be another recommended solution to address this situation.

Buenas @abriltorres!

ePMP uses proprietary radio protocols. So it can not be connected to any 3rd party radio.
You can use F300-13L in AP mode for PTP links only.
In SM mode F300-13L can be used with ePMP3000/3000L/3000MP, ePMP4500/4500C/4500L or F300-16/19/19R/25/13L/25L

If you want to connect another RF link next to F300-13L, just connect their Ethernet ports. It will not require any additional configuration.

Please, let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you for the clarification @aka!

I understand that, since ePMP uses proprietary radio protocols, it’s not possible to connect a Ubiquiti device directly to the ePMP wirelessly. For the client’s case, I’ll follow the recommendation to connect the Ubiquiti device through the Ethernet ports, which simplifies the setup and maintains compatibility.

Thank you also for the offer of support. If more questions come up or we need assistance with the configuration, I’ll be sure to create a ticket.

Best regards!
