Enterprise cnMatrix – Release 6.1.3 Now Available

What’s New

  • VLAN display compression: New show vlan minimal and show vlan compressed commands group VLANs into ranges for much cleaner output at scale.
  • LLDP neighbor summary: New CLI command surfaces key LLDP identification data in a compact, easy-to-read format.
  • LLDP client TTL override: Locally override how long received LLDP info is retained — especially useful for PBA deployments where clients may not send at expected intervals.

Fixed Issues

  • 5565: Patched 802.1X vulnerability CVE-2024-3596 (BlastRADIUS) across all models.
  • 6249: cnMaestro device config view is now dramatically faster — large VLAN configs (~2000 VLANs) load in ~5 seconds instead of 30–50.
  • 6567: Fixed LLDP frames dropped from APs, which caused PBA/Auto-VLAN connectivity loss when multiple APs were connected.
  • 6579: DHCP Relay no longer fails to forward packets after a reboot when an IP helper is configured on a VLAN interface.
  • 6584: Resolved ARP resolution failures for inter-VLAN routing setups.
  • 6574: Fixed cnMaestro connectivity DNS failures when a switch operates behind an HTTP proxy.
  • 6498: PBX phones self-identifying as LLDP-MED class 2 now correctly get auto-voice VLAN assignment.
  • 6517: DHCP server binding table no longer clears unnecessarily when the pool network command is re-run with identical settings.

Upgrade Guidelines

  • Two separate software images exist from version 6.1 onward.
  • The EX3024F image and the EX/TX image are not interchangeable. Upgrading to 6.1.2 or later requires cnMaestro 5.2.0-r10+.
  • When upgrading via USB from a version prior to 6.0, shorten the filename before initiating the upgrade.
