System Release 6.6.0.1 adds support to new features, enhancements, along with bug fixes.
Firmware
Features
- 802.1X port-based authentication support
APs now support 802.1X authentication on Ethernet ports. The APs support single-host authentication
mode, where only one client is allowed to access the network after successful authentication. Also, after successful authentication, the port VLAN is assigned based on RADIUS assigned VLAN.
Enhancements
-
Single AP group support for mesh base and mesh clients
With an improved mesh client functionality, mesh base and mesh client APs can now be configured with a single AP group -
Support for multiple L2GRE tunnels
APs now support two simultaneous L2GRE tunnels in order to tunnel wireless clients traffic to remote
Wireless Access Gateway (WAG). Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported on the L2GRE tunnel
endpoints. WLAN profiles can be mapped to different tunnel groups.
Fixed Issues
Tracking ID | Platform | Description |
---|---|---|
FLCN-15224 | All | Improved handling of client connectivity in dense deployments. |
FLCN-15216 | All | AP was restarting because of kernel panic if 6 GHz radio was disabled in the WLAN profile. |
FLCN-15213 | XV2‐21X | Speed test results were different when checked in cnMaestro using the speedtest mbps command and when checked on a mobile device that is connected to the AP. |
FLCN-15198 | All | VLAN was changing when client moved within radios of the same AP with Open Authentication and application features enabled. |
FLCN-15192 | All | cnMaestro was unable to apply configuration on the APs. This issue was random in nature. |
FLCN-15136 | All | VLAN was changing when a client roamed between two radios of the same AP with a static VLAN pool configured in the WLAN. |
FLCN-15112 | XE5‐8 | Clients connecting to radio 3 on 5 GHz or 6 GHz were not assigned an IP address. |
FLCN-15082 | All | Client was assigned a WLAN VLAN instead of an ePSK VLAN after roaming between radios of the same AP. |
FLCN-15039 | All | APs displayed incorrect minimum PoE requirement values in the show power command output. |
FLCN-14823 | All | When changing management settings in the AP, WEB UI was not accessible. |
FLCN-14684 | All | When the 2.4 GHz radio mode was configured in the bg, bgn, or bgnax mode, legacy clients (with support for 802.11b mode only) were unable to connect to the AP. |
FLCN-14030 | All | Invalid PSK was observed when UPSK was enabled with XMS-C. |
