Would like to see a toggle in the GUI for selecting external gps/internal gps... several sites have lost gps using the external puck, we go on site and unplug it and it takes right off almost always... but most of the time this is a tower climb. Or should we just quit using the external puck?
Unfortunately, I'm betting that would entail hardware changes not just software. I've found that the newer GPS (GPS+GLONASS) works just fine with only the internal antenna, but I'm not willing to run an AP with the older GPS-only chip without external antenna. That said, we've rarely seen the problem you describe - when we do, a power-cycle of the AP usually resolves it.
