EPMP 3000 still rebooting

Hi Guys are any of you still experincing an issue where the base reboots intself at random time and if so how did you fix it?  all FW is latest.

So I assume you're using 4.5? Are you also using a BSA?

Yes, experiencing the same issue.

Cambium suggests Forcing to sector antenna, making sure both boot banks are on 4.5, and increasing your GPS timeout values.

We are actively looking into this. As suggested it might be caused by the Smart Antenna being enabled so disabling it might be a temporary workaround.

Dmitry

We've had 1 AP reboot one time and it is set to 'Forced Sector'. It was up 4-5 days prior to reboot and 3 days since. It does have spectrum analyzer enabled, light scanning mode.

I've got it on auto

This has been happening for ages though.

These radios are very unstable on our network.

both banks on 4.5 all Su latest FW hold off time set to max.

Still doing the same thing. Just wondering if this is a known issue.

Set AP to force sector only until they fix the BSU issue AGAIN! Seems to be fix the issue, mine have not rebooted since then (knock on wood)

Turn off spectrum.. and leave orce to sector for now.

I have 3 out of 5 rebooting randomly, dropping all customer voip calls. Been running them for 14  months and think the problem is about 3-4 months old. It could just be 4.4.3 [and up] as that's what I run on all radios. Not going to try 4.5 until the next release as have had too many problems with the previous firmwares and am too afraid to try new fw anymore. I've had BSA connected to 4 of 5 radios for 14 months and they have never run, bit sad really.

I do not believe the reboot issue is caused by the BSA as only 3 of the 4 radios that have BSA attached suffer the problem. NB the radio that does not reboot is the only one runinng an 80MHz wide channel. The ones that reboot have got BSA attached, but under 4.4.3 do not run anyway, but maybe they are alive..?

The performance of the epmp3000 blows me away, and I can do BTest to customer router right now and get a consistent 300/30 of TCP traffic to a customer at -72, which I think is amazing. I'm in a low noise envirnment ..

Be great when this issue goes away as dropping voip calls hurts my teeth. Thanks for the great products, please put everything into the firmwares. Cheers!

Outside of the BSA issue there is another reboot we are chasing and have been working with another customer on this thread as well. Our apologies for this situation but we do have line of sight to this issue and are chasing it as quickly as we can. We will keep everyone posted here.

Bad news..E3K L APs rebooting too!

It seems APs with 4+ clients rebooting randomly with 4.5 FW (both E3K/E3KL)

Maybe memory leak causes device reboot?

APs with 1 or 2 clients (small number of clients) or PtP radios is stable.

Thanks for reporting this. We urgently need the tech support files from the 3KL and full e3K. Could you please also submit a quick support ticket?

I'm having the same problem, my apps are restarting at random times. fw 4.5

Please submit a ticket and we will provide a custom build that should help.

Very dissapointing to have a long awaited FW to enable BSA to find that my sector APs are randomly rebooting after spending a small fortune on BSA's. You think this would've been thoroughly tested and proven instead of been rushed and poorly tested. Luckily the MikroTik portion of my network runs sweet

Concur. We did go through many rounds of internal and external soak but some things just can't be caught in a lab until after lots of deployments. In any event, we are close to a 4.5.2 release which is addressing at least the BSA related reboot. If you like we can can provide it offline.

Thanks that would be appreciated

Hello,

please sent me in offline ti check in my sectors...

thank you

I'd also like a copy of this new firmware to try.  My 3000 AP's go between dropping all SM"s and locking up requiring a power cycle, or rebooting on their own.

It may not suite everyone's needs, but I've moved all APs back to 4.4.3 and the client shedding and reboots have stopped. I'll take the lack of BSA at this point over angry customer phone calls.
