ePMP 4500C AP Dual Sector Antennas - two 4x4 Sectors for 8x8 MU-MIMO

I’m wondering guidance folks can suggest for results with a 4500c AP connected to two Cambium 90 Degree Sectors (or 70 degree?), as in the 3000’s 4x4 sector? If for example, we have existing 3000 Mu-Mimo deployments with that 4x4 sector, what the Mu-Mimo performance would be like upgrading the 3000 to a 4500c AP, and adding another 4x4 Sector antenna? And what offset or Azimuth aiming difference would maximize the Mu-Mimo peformance?

Or more simply, basically what would be recommended 8x8 Antenna solutions are – or what (if any) existing 2x2 or 4x4 sectors could be reused in any way.

I guess this disussion would be similar to the Dual Horn conversation somewhat.

ePMP 4500 + Dual Horn Antenna compatibility

Is it compatible or will a whole new Dual horn antenna need to be developed? EDIT: After checking out the pics, it appears the radio is fully integrated into the antenna. Does that mean there’s going to be sacrifices in terms of interference/noise?? EDIT2: Ahhh, there’s a 4500C version. Also its 8x8 so looks like its a definite no in terms of compatiblilty with the existing Dual Horn. Hopefully a new Dual Horn comes along soon for us city folk.

I also realize that 5.10 firmware will be coming down the pipleine, and that’ll really when most folks get to see what 4500 Mu-Mimo does, but thought I’d start planning along those lines. Thanks.

Just wanted to add the continuation of my original thread I created after the 3k and 4k compatibility feature was added a year after my original post.

ePMP 4500c + Dual Horn Antenna compatibility

With the upcoming compatibility firmware of the ePMP 3k SM’s with ePMP4k AP’s, I wanted to revist a question I asked a year ago regarding the 4500c and dual horn antenna compatibilty. The discussion led to the possibility of splitting a 4500c radio between 2 of the epmp3k RFE dual horn antennas. Has anyone been able to successfully deploy a 4500c in such a configuration?

Another user replied with a successful deployment with details. I have yet to attempt it…

Yes, im running 2-RFE 90 degree 4x4 horns. I dont have it in split sector anymore, however it is supported. Mine is deployed with all horns pointed the same direction covering 90 degrees. If you do the split sector, make sure its wired up properly. Its antenna 1-0/1/4/5 antenna 2-2/3/6/7. There are still a couple things that are being worked on, but so far it seems to work really well. Im still experiencing a random AP lockup that requires a reboot to restablish the SMs, but i think my case is …
