I want to replace a Mimosa that has a 4x4 antenna. I could do this quickly if I could run the 4500C in a 4x4 mode. Can I disable any channels, or install terminators on unused ports to use the 4500C as a 4x4 radio until I am able to add the additional antenna chains?

unfortunately we don’t test such scenario in our lab.
But theoretically there should be no issues if you put only one 4x4 antenna and terminate other chains. To avoid self-interference.
I would suggest you to try to connect the antenna to chains 0/1/4/5. And compare performance between Sector and Split-sector mode. Keep the setting with the best results.
