Since the 46xx series is required to have a GPS, do away with the user settable coordinates or auto populate it so cnMaestro and AFC are using the same source instead of GPS populating one section and then the tech has to click “update” to populate the other entries. I understand the AFC is using the GPS coordinates and cnMaestro is using the settable, it would be better if both used what is provided by the GPS.
This has to do with the fact that ePMP (and PMP450) use unified firmware and standard GUI’s across multiple product lines and generations, many of which don’t have integrated GPS, and so they rely on the installer either manually entering in the GPS coordinates into the radio or perhaps cnArcher setting these values (I don’t actually know this, it’s just a guess) while in the field.
It could do a check if GPS is present the populate the other, if not then do nothing. That should work in all product lines.
