It would be nice if the ePMP radios could pull a config file from DHCP option 66 just like the PMP radios can.
This would allow us to mass configure radios a lot easier as well as preconfigure (zero touch provision) radios for the field.

Hi, Has there been any progress made on using Option 66 with ePMP?
Is this still the case? Why is it listed in the config if it isn’t implemented?
The option is there, but I’ve never used it.
It doesn’t do anything though. After hours of fighting it, I found something that said it’s only implemented in PMP, not ePMP radios.
Would love to see this too. cnMaestro has some auto-provisioning capabilities, but I don’t believe it can look up customer specific information, like naming the device after the customer.
I see the option on the new epmp4600, and would like to setup a golden config like we do for PMP450. does this work? If not, why is it showing in the UI?
So far we haven’t gotten it to do anything…
Same here, it does nothing at all, more marketing fluff. Even the Ethernet port on the SM won’t query for a DHCP address to even use opt 66, which is hilarious since it’s supposed to be in bridged mode.
I was able to get them to confirm this as a bug. I haven’t heard when it will be fixed yet though…
