ePMP Primary SSID

While it's great that the ePMP allows multiple SSIDs, it would be great to be able to select one as the primary or main SSID. Similar to how the PMP100 handles color codes, iif the primary SSID is down, the other SSIDs are searched and associated. Then, after a timeout period, the primary is scanned for again.

Hello Paul,

Thanks for your suggestion. We currently have this feature in our list of enhancements, so it is already in consideration for a future release.

Best regards,

Luis

Will be a great idea if in a few month's is available this feature :)
Regards

The code is already in openWRT.. Will we see this soon?

We have preferred BSID so at least having the SM lock to the primary SSID is covered. The idea of scanning the next set of SSIDs after a period is being looked at.

While it may seem obvious with openWRT support, we still have to wrap up some things around it and do some test & validation.

We will put this in the roadmap for a 2015 release for sure.

 Any update on this functionality?

Nearly a year and still waiting

You do not need it

Only place the preferd SSID in top of the list and follow then place the second one and the rest in the order you need them. If the system scan the first one and it is not responding will try to connect to the next one. We have it like that and it workd great for us

One of the early posts suggested a "re-scan" of the network automatically.  For example:

SSID: Test1 is at the top of your list

SSID: Test2 is listed second.

Test1 goes down. The SM will automatically go to Test2.  However, when Test1 is back up again, that SM will never re-attach to Test1 unless you manually force it.

it would be extremely useful for the SM to re-connect to the primary SSID automatically once it is back up.

I agree, hope this gets reviewed with re-scan for Primary

Is there a separate feature request for rescanning for the primary after some period of time?

Found it. Please vote for a rescan interval.
