Please get this added to cnMaestro cloud ASAP! Thanks!

Is ePTP no longer supported in devices such as the force 200 and epmp 2000 with 4.4?

When trying to update an elevated device from cnmaestro on prem. Version 4.4RC23 to 4.4 final I get the message "SW update file download failed"

CnMaestro Version 2.2.1-r32

When I try to upgrade Elevate SM's from Maestro cloud, I get an error "Unable to intitiate software update on device" while the ePMP SM's update fine. I attached a screenshot.

Any ideas what we can do to fix this?

Thanks

Hi,

ePTP is supported in 4.4 both at F200 and ePMP2000.

Did you observe it isn't?

Thank you.

Hi Darin,

Could you please try to reboot XM radios and try to upgrade them just after they came up?

Thank you.

This doesn't resolve the issue. None of my elevates can be updated via cnMaestro

I tried rebooting a couple, then upgrading them again and it didn't work. These are XW devices, not XM.

Darin,

Could you please confirm FW upgrade works through GUI?

I would be really grateful if you could send configuration file from the radio which is experiencing the issue to me at fedor.trutsko(at)cambiumnetworks(dot)com.

Thank you.

For my XM radios I did have to do a mass reboot before upgrading to 4.4, but, going from 3.5.6 to 4.4 via cnmaestro worked as expected. Running the latest OVA/Package of cnmaestro on-premise.

e: forgot to mention I was utilizing on-premise, not cloud cnmaestro.

Is 4.4 now considered mature enough to be the mainline choice for a native 2K environment, or is the 3.5.6 branch  still the preferred firmware?

Upgrade works via GUI. I rebooted 11 Elevate XW sm's this morning again and tried upgrading and received the same error message in Maestro Cloud.

I sent you an email with the config file per your request and hope you guys find a fix for this. We can't upgrade all of these by hand.

Thank you

Alex, for us 4.4-RC30 and 4.4 work very good on 1k/2k native environment.
We’re upgrading the entire network to support F300 and we’re having good results.

A tip that I received and helped me. If you have mixed hardware (cambium and other with XM versions), use only long guard interval. The short is not supported by the XM versions. It does not directly associate the AP.

best regards!

Same is happening to us
cnMaestro version 2.2.1-r32
I have attached some pictures, at this point, we can not mass-upgrade all our units via cnMaestro, we have a lot, we can not make this by hand that's why we need a solution for this

We upgraded our tower with 17 SMs at 3am via cnMaestro. Of the 17, 16 SMs took the upgrade. Of those 16, 8 of them are now in a constant reboot cycle (probably due to watchdog). They will connect to the AP, won't grab a management IP via DHCP, sit there for 3 minutes and then reboot. No traffic will pass through those 8 SMs.

I now get to apparently roll a truck to 8 very annoyed customers and plug into their radios to downgrade them back to 4.3.2.1. I'm borderline furious over the constant firmware issues and at myself for thinking this one would be better.

Do you use elevated SMs? If so make sure you don't use Short GI with XM devices.

Every SM is a Force 300
