ePMP Wireless Link Test

When performing the wireless link test from a GPS synced AP, does the test run with the GPS sync? I ask because we seem to get low upload numbers when running the test, but we rarely get complaints from customers.

Additionally, does the test saturate the link or does it only use the frames the SM would have considering the other SMs on the AP?

the link tests runs with the config you have running,   and it only uses the extra capcity on the site. it will not bump subscribers out of the way to give you a very high top speed.

how low of an upload are you getting?

I found a good example of what I'm talking about on the low upload.

We only deploy 2.4 ePMP

Its confusing because while the signal isn't optimal the SNR is still good.

Hi,

Could you please also attache Monitor -> Performance page screenshot?

Thank you.

This is from the details on the AP side, is that what you were looking for?

Actully I'd like to see MCSs distribution in UL and DL in addition to already attached statistics.

It will help to interpret in proper way Wireless Link Test results.

Thank you.

This is from the AP as I am currently unable to make a stable connection into the particular SM.

Looks like your AP operates on noisy channel.

MCSs are distributed starting MCS1 up to MCS15.

Also lots of retransimtted and dropped packets you can see in statistics.

Have you tried to switch AP to another channel?

Looks like interference level is extremely high on current one.

Thank you.

A Spectrum Analysis will also provide a better picture of the environment.
