ePMP1000 is not passing DHCP network to branch office

Hi all,

i am installimg ePMP 1000 with the formware of 2.6.1 and facing some problem to get IP address to the client computers in branch office, my PTP link is configured in bridge mode and connectivity is working fine with a good speed, we have DHCP server in Main office and network  is bridged through PTP, when i am connecting branch office computers, not getting IP address from DHCP server, but when i configure static IP address all communications are working fine.

1. both radios are configured with static IP address.

2. in Main office network switch where the main office pair radio is connected, when i connect my computer, its taking      IP from DHCP.

3. firewall is not enabled in any of the radio

4. i am getting 140+ mbps uplink and 130+ mbps downlink.

Hi,

1-First go to the SM Unit usually using IP 192.168.0.2

2-Login to administrative mode

3-From the left panel go to configuration.

4-Then go to network.

5-Then enable "DHCP Servers Below SM" as below.

Just for shake of troubleshooting could you please perform below steps and let me know the results ASAP ?

1. Ping from DHCP server to Master radio.

2. Ping from DHCP server to Slave radio.

3. If ping works for both of radios then, possibly you need to inform more to me.

4. If ping doesn't work for both then please have the IP address given to radios as excluded address in DHCP server. See if this resolves the issue.

Will wait for your response.

Hi Mohamed,

Sorry to interrupt but the topology is like this  DHCP server (main office)---->Switch---->AP------->SM-------->DHCP clients.

That option will work when the DHCP server is below the SM and will allow the clients below AP to get IP from DHCP server located below the SM. But in this case it is reverse :) .
