Hi everyone,
I’m seeing something a bit confusing when querying SNMP on a Cambium ePMP 3000 access point.
Specifically, when I query the Wireless interface, the SNMP OID ifHighSpeed
returns a value of 220 Mbps. This seems low considering that the ePMP 3000 is advertised to support up to 600 Mbps aggregate throughput under ideal conditions.
So I have a few questions:
- Does this
ifHighSpeed
value represent the maximum downlink capacity only, based on current RF conditions or link configuration? - Is this value static or dynamic? In other words, is it hardcoded or estimated by the radio based on modulation, bandwidth, and other RF parameters?
- Are there any Cambium-specific OIDs available that provide:
- Actual wireless capacity (DL/UL)
- Real-time or estimated total throughput of the wireless link
Thanks in advance for your support and insights.
Best regards,
