Hi, we have some 4500 and 4500L, everything Ok for some days or weeks, but at the same moments all SMs go to download SS1 and upload remains stable DS, btest download performance, became half and seems to be no solution.
Changed frequency, PoE, flexible/70-30, gps sync, reboot, firmware upgrade 5.10.4, downgrade 5.10.1, no solution. Replacing the entire Ap, or the 4500L leaving the same antenna solve the problem.
This happened with more than 10 units, it’s possibile all this units are bad?

You need to mention MSNs and we will RMA the radios.
Thanks, no problems I’ll make RMA throught my dealer, but how is possible that many units has this issue? It’s very annoying to change units on top of tower so frequently….

This isn’t typical for the ePMP4500/4500L. As with any electronic hardware, a small percentage of units may develop defects over time, and each case needs to be evaluated individually to determine the underlying cause. We have observed similar behavior in a limited number of ePMP4500/4500L units, which is why each reported case is reviewed and verified.
In parallel, we are performing additional checks on our side to ensure that the replacement units are not affected and meet the expected performance and quality standards before deployment.
I had this happen to two of my 4500L - one of them was like this at first boot, the other became like this after several months…
I’m also having a similar problem with a 4500L radio. If I provide you with the serial numbers, can you check which batch they belong to and whether they are among the radios affected by the problem?
please submit a support ticket and attach techsupport files. We will RMA radios with such behavior without any batch tracing.
I have the same problem. Replaced the unit and antenna two months later history repeats. It’cant be cable problem because upload speed is fine - looks like one chain TX power is lower on AP side.
Yes one chain seems to be ko. I’ve not RF cables beacause i’m using RFE adapter with horn antenna… So the problem it’s the AP…
