ePTP 2.4.2 station association hangs

I put up a link 2 days ago with Force110 dishes and non-synced radios.  In the last few hours the station has hung up twice.  It believes it is associated and the eAlign even works showing the signal of what it is associated to.  However, you can not ping the AP/master nor get any data across the link.  A reboot on the slave fixed it both times.
