Hello team,

I have a client who wants a small evenly populated site covering an area of about 5KM in radius to be on seamless internet wireless throughout the compound so that wherever you walk you get internet and you dont need to even change your password. Which equipments can you suggest to achieve this solution. Thank you!!..

  1. what kind of these clients which are connecting to WI-Fi Access Points ?

  2. how many clients we can expect to connect to each AP ?

  3. does these clients need internet connection ?

  4. how we are planning to get internet connection for this site?

  5. does clients move fast from one Access Point to others if yes, what is moving speed

The place has a mall with supermarkets, Hospital, recreational facilities and apartments.

Average total population should be about 500 people.

Yes they need internet on the whole area covered through their laptops, phones and other handheld devices.

  1. how we are planning to get internet connection for this site?

They already have via a fiber.

  1. does clients move fast from one Access Point to others if yes, what is moving speed

This we cannot determine coz its a small " city" where people mingle n walk freely.

Thanks, we can consider to deploy,

  1. e510 for out door place (802.11ac wave2 2x2:2, single 1 gig POE in capable device)
  2. for indoor we can consider e410 (802.11ac wave2 2x2:2, single 1 gig poe in capable device) or XV2-2 (802.11ax 2x2:2 single poe in capable device)

These devices can be managed from cnMaestro WAC which comes in 3 different flavours

  1. Cloud
  2. On Premises can be installed on VMWare ESXi 6.0 and above)
  3. AWS cloud

Our recommendation get in touch with local Cambium Team to better understand the Cambium Solution and offerings

Do we need to deploy any AP say ePMP 3000 to work with the E510?.. Or we will deploy only E510?

Hi Richard, That will depend on how your planning your backbone.

  • What mounting assets will you be using to deploy the access-points?
  • Will this be indoor and outdoor coverage?
  • Are you looking to support VoIP, Video and/or just Data connectivity?

In regards to your question about deploying our ePMP product line it would depend on how your setting up your backbone connectivity to the distribution layer (access-points) if the deployment area will have a wired ethernet cable connection at each deployment/mounting location then there would be no need to use our ePMP solution.

Will mount them on top of the building since there is LS.

we looking for both indoor and outdoor. Remember the clients the whole radius of 5KM to be on WiFi.

  • Are you looking to support VoIP, Video and/or just Data connectivity?

Yes but later. For now only data/Internet.

Hello Richoloo,

you will first the point where the fiber lands.
Then, there is a need to do point to multipoint links with the ePMP or PMP 450i micro Pop to connect other building and then have Wi-Fi from those buildings.

To build the Bill of Quantity, there is a need to work with LINKPlanner.
