Error code documentation

When a user clicks on the logout button nothing appear to happen. firebug does show a post and the response contains:

MessageType = 130

ResponseCode = 152

What do these values mean and where can I get the complete set of codes for future reference?

Bill

Hi,

These error codes are part of standard WISPr documents and you have to check out the debug logs on the AP to know why exactly the logoff is failing. You can login to CLI of the AP and do "service show debug-logs wifid" or login to UI of the AP and go to "Troubleshoot" in the left most pane and then to "Logs" and look for the logs for the given client MAC address.

150 response code is logoff success and 152 is logoff failure which can be due to client session is already expired or for some reason client is no longer in authenticated state. The debug logs can tell you more on the exact reason for it.

Thanks,

Kunal

The WISPr spec seems to be removed (at least officially). I did finf one doc that has:

0 No error 50 Login succeeded (Access ACCEPT) 100 Login failed (Access REJECT) 102 RADIUS server error/timeout 105 Network Administrator Error: Does not have RADIUS enabled 150 Logoff succeeded 151 Login aborted 200 Proxy detection/repeat operation 201 Authentication pending 255 Access gateway internal error

So no mentionof 152 response failure. Anyway I looked at the logs but the reason is not obvious to me. I will post a snippit of it shortly. Perhaps someone here will know what is wrong.

Aside from this I'm not certain if any of the WISPr stuff applies to me. I'm not planning on supporting roaming.

Bill

Not sure this will help. I rebooted the AP, connected to to WIFI, got redirected to external site, then logged in. Then I clicked the logout button. Note the end of log, that senquence repeats 100's of times... I cut the log short.

What is going on?

From some Java source online I found:

public static final int RESPONSE_INVALID_SESSION = 152; // Invalid session

So looks like a session issue and looks like a bug to me. I don't have any control or settings to manipulate this so I believe this is an internal issue.

Anyone else had this error?

Hi,

You are seeing this because when you connect client over Guest network then client starts sending TCP packets and every TCP packet sent to port 80/443 gets redirected even though you might not have opened anything on the client browser. Each client usually have so many applications installed on it and the moment device is network connected each try to reach out to internet.

Thanks,

Kunal

Hi,

Does logout functionality never works for you or you see this error once a while?. Is it seen when client roams across to different AP and then try to do logout?

What is the firmware version running on the AP?. We had found one issue with logout for roaming clients and was fixed in 3.0 r33 release firmware.

Thanks,

Kunal
