I would like to see this too. We occasionally run into problems where a customer is intermittently losing connection because of a bad RJ45 crimp, or something like that, but it's difficult to diagnose, because you might have to sit there watching it for hours before the ethernet will disconnect. Even just having a simple counter showing the number of times the ethernet has been disconnected would make that sort of problem much easier to track down... but actual times in the log would be even better.
