On the ePMP 4500 and 4600 fiber ports, is there a way to see the dBm signal from the switch?
Yes but these numbers seem to be the same on every radio. No variation
On my radios I’m seeing exactly what you have on the 3rd image. 2.65mW / 2.97mW.
What version are you running and are these 4500 or 4600?
I wonder if this is an issue with ePMP 4600?
Support, can you check if this is a bug?
I checked both e4k 5 and 6GHz AP’s. What firmware are you running?
You can file a support ticket here: https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/
A mix of firmware unfortunately. 5.10.1 as well as 5.11.1
All 4600 AP’s
We will review this and get back to you shortly.
Thank you.
Martin, what SFP modules do you use?
Thanks
cambium 10g sm units.
Thank you.
I can confirm the issue with the Cambium 10G SR SFP modules, and we are actively working on a fix.
The behavior appears to depend on the SFP+ module type and manufacturer.
Could you provide more details about your intended setup and what you are trying to achieve? We may be able to suggest a workaround while the issue is being addressed.
Thanks
Typical deployment is a cluster of (6) ePMP 4600 AP’s or 4500. Fiber to each radio using the Cambium SFP+ modules.
The issue we are having is diagnosing fiber problems. We have stats from the switches but can’t see stats on the radios. 1 tower specially had a bad multi-pair fiber run and it took a long time to figure out where the problem was.
Martin, thank you for the explanation.
Let me review the details internally and see whether we can suggest a viable workaround. I’ll get back to you as soon as I have an update.
Thank you.
