It would be very helpful if you could filter the output from a show command on cnMatrix switches, much like you can on Cisco switches.
For eample: show any-command | begin regular-expression
I was on a cnMatrix switch and needed to find a mac-address on a specific interface and found that I was not able to searcg/filter the output from the ‘show mac-address-table’ command. I tried the following command…
cnMatrixSwitch# show mac-address-table | include gi0/6
% Invalid Command
This can be done on Cisco IOS and it make the Engineers/Operators tasks easier.
Searching and Filtering CLI Output
I believe that this would be a much use feature and I would love to have it available on the cnMatrix switches that I manage.
