Force 180 basic config

I have inherited a network with a Force 180 connected to an AP. I had to reconfigure the AP and have now lost communication with the ePMP. Not having any of the previous information about the ePMP I did a reset and now need to configure it re-establish communication for the bridge. I can access the web config page. This is a simple point to point bridge with only one ePMP and an AP. This was working before the AP reconfiguration. I am new to Cambium product so could use some help here with this config. I have searched for basic setup but have only found setup for 2 ePMPs.

Hi @Austin_Williams,

you can download a user guide from this page:
https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/files/epmp1000sm/archive

Is there anyway that you could give some details other than me reading the manual and trying to figure this out?

Have you tried this set up you found for 2 ePMPs? I am assuming your AP is an ePMP and the F180 is an ePMP, so it should work.
The Driver Mode, SSID, Wireless Security, Frequency channel & width should match on both AP & SM.

Try using the radios quick start configuration page. It has everything needed to get the radios to link up.

the other AP is not a Cambium Network AP. It is Ubiquiti

Ok, just off the cuff here…

If your AP is an Ubiquiti and your SM is a Cambium, then that’s going to mean that neither of them can be set in their default “preferred” mode, because they will be incompatible.

So, you’d have to set the both to WiFi mode in order for them to have a chance to talk to each other. The Ubiquiti AP would have to be in Wi-Fi mode, and the Cambium SM would have to be in Wi-Fi mode as well. That’s certainly not optimal, but that’s the only language they can speak together.

Then of course the AP and the SM would have to be set to the same SSID, and the encryption mode will have to be the same (open might be the easiest to experiment with at first) plus you may have to set the Ubiquiti AP to WDS mode to get the Ubiquiti AP into a bridge mode.

thanks for the info! That’s what I needed.
