FPGA versions

If you have different FPGA versions in your network could that affect performance?

I would tend to think that as long as the units talking to each other are the same you might be better off then not. Like AP’s and SM’s being the same and BHM and BHS the same. The only reason i say this is because moto is recommending that you not upgrade your bh to 7.2.9 but ap’s and sm’s do upgrade. I believe 7.2.9 changes the FPGA.

Yeah, it does. I updated a test backhaul setup to 7.2.9 prior to Support saying not to and I noticed it changed. So, if you updated one side of the backhaul link, you better do the other as well, then downgrade to 7.1.4 ;)
