Getting stuck at REGISTERED when pre-configuring

Since the new update, we are able to pre select the color code, name the radio, and select the VLAN.
All of this makes installing twice as fast, but ever so frequently as of lately, issues have raised.
The main issue is that cnArcher will say REGISTERED and then won’t do anything.
The radio is connected to the AP, but cnArcher refuses to move along to the alignment page.
I spent hours having my techs try different “fixes” with no luck.

Happens both with Android (beta) and iOS. Only happens with pre-configuring.
I have two log files from techs that have had this happen in their last installation, I have sent to cnarcher@cambiumnetworks.com

Pre-configuration of color code feature is given only for Android (beta) cnArcher version1.6.4 and not for IOS. Could you please verify whether this issue happens with IOS.

I just verified with our techs, it is only on Android. They are using the latest beta.

I have gone through cnArcher logs which you shared. I could see that the SM state as ‘SCANNING’ after SM reboot. Could you please try to configure SM using SM GUI and see whether it gets registered. It would be better if you share the SM device logs.

When we get into the SM when this happens, it is Registered.

We may have found a workaround when cnArcher gets “stuck” like this.

  • My technicians alert me when cnArcher is stuck.

  • I log into the SM via the AP and do a full reboot of the radio.

  • After the radio re-registers to the AP, my technicians go back a screen in cnArcher and then they are then able to proceed.

Thank you for letting me know. I understood that you could move from Configure SM screen to Alignment screen and then to SM LINK test screen. As you written, have you got stuck again at SM link test and rebooted the SM ?
