The IP address is set to the value of the "IP Address" field the radio's configuration.

also if you are pinging it from an computer on your canopy network you will have to make the SM IP public in order to ping it. Make sure you are not making your SM public on an ip address that will have a conflict.

example - login to your SM and set the IP configuration to 169.254.1.156, select public then save changes. (note that if you have a different range make the public IP on your ip range!)

as long as you are on the canopy network you should able to open a command prompt and type ping 169.254.1.156 -t and get a streaming result.
