We are working with a Cambium XV2-22H-EEEE69 AP. There are more than 30 WiFi devices connected to the AP.
How can we get the connected devices to appear under Dashboard → Wireless Clients in the web-based portal? The devices were visible yesterday, but they disappeared today. The refresh interval is set to 30 seconds.
Also, in the web-based portal under Troubleshoot → Logs, there were logs available yesterday, but today all logs are gone. Where can we find the logs? Currently, nothing is displayed in the logs section. How can we get the logs to show up again?
I just checked that URL. There is cnMaestro. I registered an account. I suppose cnMaestro Cloud needs the AP to have Internet access, right? We’ll need to get approval from out IT department.
Once cnMaestro Cloud works, the connected devices will show up and the logs will be available? I’m curious if there is any way to get AP GUI working - meaning to get the list of connected devices and logs showing up.
When I tried to claim the serial number in cnMaestro Cloud, I found that it had already been claimed. I checked and confirmed that the serial number was previously claimed by our QA team.
In the current situation, how can I claim or transfer ownership of the serial number?
I’ll ask the QA team to remove the serial number from cnMaestro Cloud.
I also have some questions:
Is there a way to reliably retrieve the list of connected devices and event logs through the AP web GUI?
With cnMaestro Cloud, is there a reliable way to access the list of connected devices and event logs?
To use cnMaestro Cloud, we have to allow the AP to access Internet? The reason I ask: there are 30+ WiFi devices connected to the AP. By allowing it to access Internet, our IT will have to do quite some configuration to avoid unnecessary traffic. Right now, the AP is in the private network without Internet access.
@Kenny_Bian we do not recommend using AP GUI for network management. It is primarily there for advanced troubleshooting.
Yes to question #2.
For question #3, yes, the AP needs internet access. For best experience and features, we recommend you use cnMaestro Cloud. If you are forced to use a private network, you can also host cnMaestro On-premises in the private network.
Kenny, this is a known bug that’s been prevalent in the local GUI for several years now. It exists in at least the v6 and v7 codebase. I’ve been told by Cambium it should be fixed in an upcoming firmware release. If you use the CLI of the AP the clients will show up there. It’s not as convenient, but is a fallback until the GUI is fixed.
