How do I view transceiver light levels?

Hello,

Is there a way I can view transceiver light levels? I looked through the GUI but didn’t see anything.

show interface transceivers provides some information but I was hoping to see tx and rx power, is this possible?

Thanks!

This should be a basic feature of the product to show DOM output from supported transceivers.

But, the EX switches don’t seem to actually support this?

Hi definitely in support of this via cli/gui as well as snmp as it’s a good indicator when a link or sfp has degraded.

If you SSH into the switch and issue this command, does it show you the data you need?

show interfaces transceiver

Current command ‘show interface transceiver’ does not include info such as temperature, voltage, Rx/Tx power etc. It’s in the roadmap for early '2023.

That would be great. Twice now we have issues we have had to send someone onsite to verify levels before calling it a fiber issue.

This is a “need” for this product.

Thanks!

Update.
We are adding this capability into the upcoming 4.5 firmware release, available early Dec. You can view the complete transceiver’s info only through CLI in 4.5.

Will this be available via SNMP in a later release?
