How To Put Comments in Configuration?

I'd like to know what the appropriate syntax is for commenting in a configuration file or in User-Defined Overrides in cnMaestro. 

What is the best method to add comments to help readabillity of these files and / or parameters?

     Adding comments in the configuration file or in user-defined-overrides is not possible now.

It would be very useful to have such capabilities. I expect it would be easier to implement in cnMaestro so the comments could be stripped out before making the configuration file to send. I can live without comments in the actual configuration file.
