Has anyone ever used a larger (or different) reflector dish to increase the signal (range) of a 2.4 SM. We have an SM that is just on the fringe, and loses connection several times a day.

If you find out if it works let me know, I am sure I will eventually try it.
i use satelite dish 1,5 m on one side and original dish on other side , but on 5,7G on my backhool and get range of 40,73 and swcond 43,51 miles
Check out these guys. There are listed by Motorola as a preferred third party solution.

They take Canopy and put external antennas on them - up to 6 foot dish. pricing isn’t too bad for what you get either. If it is a last resort to add a high gain antenna to make a link, then it is cheaper than adding an intermediate hopping point (ie. second tower and another set of radios)
