I am testing the Interference Cancellation on a tower that I have four 3GHz Medusa’s there is high interference, some AP’s get more MUMIMO utilization than others. My question is if I’m using the Interference Cancellation do I need to run it on all the sectors or can I just use it in only the directions that have the highest interference? Thanks J
You can enable interference cancellation on any sectors you want. It does not have any effect on timing between collocated sectors. You can actually turn the feature on and off without rebooting the AP or dropping SM’s so it makes it easy to test to see which mode works better. Keep in mind when enabled it’s only performing interference cancellation on the uplink, and that MU-MIMO will be disabled on the uplink. So you need to toggle back and forth and watch your uplink stats to see if there are performance gains having it enabled.
