Introducing the X7-56X: Directional Wi-Fi 7 for the Toughest High-Density Spaces

Higher capacity per square meter — precision coverage for ultra-dense spaces where standard Wi-Fi is all over the place. We’re excited to welcome the fourth Wi-Fi 7 AP to the Cambium community: X7-56X — a directional Wi-Fi 7 access point built for the ultra-high-density spaces where standard APs run out of answers.

What does the X7-56X bring to the X7 family?

  • High performance — based on the X7-55X platform

    • Tri-band 2+4+4, software-definable third radio (5 or 6 GHz)

    • Up to 4x4 MU-MIMO, 4 spatial streams; ~17.9 Gbps aggregate air rate

    • Wi-Fi 7 — 320 MHz channels, 4K-QAM, Multi-Link Operation (MLO)

    • Air Cleaner for high-density optimization + AI-based Assurance

    • Precision, not just density — now with directional coverage

    • Integrated 60° × 60° directional antenna — aims coverage instead of just broadcasting it

    • Optional articulated bracket (AX-X7-DBRKT-WW): aim the AP ±60° with 2° precision, no tools required for aiming

    • The same tool-less aiming makes it easy to re-tune coverage later as a space’s layout or usage changes

  • Easy to deploy, easy to manage

    • MarketApps Installer — web app, no download required

    • Flexible mounting: wall, ceiling, T-bar, or J-box, plus the optional articulated bracket

    • Drops in alongside your existing X7-35X/53X/55X deployments — same cnMaestro management, no new platform

Part of Cambium ONE Network — Wi-Fi, switching, Firewall and SD-WAN, wireless backhaul, and fiber, unified in a single cloud platform.

Where it fits

  • Large public venues: convention/exhibition centers, transportation hubs, arenas

  • Education: auditoriums, gymnasiums, libraries, lecture halls

  • Industrial: warehouses and logistics — docking areas, aisles, mezzanines

  • Hospitality: convention space, ballrooms, lobbies and atriums

How it fits into the X7 family

  • Helps reduce deployment cost and complexity — the directional antenna is integrated, avoiding the added cost and failure points of external antennas and RF cabling

  • A complement for the rest of the X7 family — deployed alongside the X7-35X, X7-53X, and X7-55X in the specific zones that need aimed, high-density coverage

  • Use it where precision matters most — atriums, aisles, concourses, seating areas, and other zones where coverage needs to be aimed.

Join the discussion

  • Where are you running into ultra-high-density or hard-to-mount scenarios today — venues, warehouses, campuses?

  • Are you currently solving targeted coverage some other way? What’s that install and cost experience been like?

Precision coverage for your densest spaces — now at the tip of your fingers.
