Does the RV22 have Bark parental controls integrated yet (Like the other Cambium Residential Routers)?
If not, when is the implementation expected to be completed?
Thank you, Chris

@uberdome
Bark is not available on RV22
Instead RV22 has Cambium’s propriety parental control integrated by default and it can be enabled/controlled via Mobile App
When will Bark be available? Bark is more comprehensive than a router-based installation, but it benefits from it. It is good to have a proprietary simple solution, but it is even better to offer that as a baseline, and still offer the Bark controls (Like in the older R-Series routers).
Thank you, Chris
@uberdome
Bark is not scheduled for RV22 at this time. We will provide an update if it gets integrated
Thank you for responding.
I don’t plan to buy any more RV22 routers until Bark is integrated. I’m looking forward to it.

are there any plans to make the parental controls more friendly, with logging, and with exceptions?
We are just demoing this unit and the parental control is nice, but no granularity or logging will make is not useful for our clients
No, there are no plans for enabling logging and whitelisting at this time.
We will take this as feedback for future release
Integrating Bark would solve these problems quickly.
I went down this road a while ago. Purchased a few cnPilots and a few routers from ReadyNet. I was very surprised to see that they were nearly identical (looks an awful lot like a DDWRT clone).
The cambium gear just didn’t have bark. Have you checked out the RN stuff? Sounds like Cambium has no plans to integrate Bark or make community suggested additions currently.
Is there any reasoning behind that? Whitelists and logging aren’t new tech or a new concept to use in tandem with parental controls. No sense re-inventing the wheel.
Just to stay in the theme for this thread, is there any chance that Cambium will integrate with a more feature rich Parental Control platform like Bark? Or is it not on the roadmap at all?
@uberdome You could go an alternate route and be agnostic to routers.
The R-series cnPilot and ReadyNet both used the same OEM for hardware and the same base for firmware coding.
The R-series ended up integrating Bark successfully, so it has already been done. I have just been waiting for an upgraded router to come out so I can have a good router with Bark integrated. I’m disappointed that it wasn’t integrated from the beginning. Bark has a free tier through ISPs, and the integrated parental controls do not come close to matching it.
I don’t want multiple boxes for my customers, both from a functional standpoint and an aesthetic standpoint. Having one box that handles our services is good and professional. Having a separate box for router, parental controls, and phone just seems sloppy.
Oh I agree completely on the multiple boxes thing. When I worked at an ISP that was a pet peeve of mine. There have only been a few folks over the years where I would have gone the multi box route for, and they were generally the most vocal customers who wanted the newest tech, regardless of functionality.
Hopefully they get that added, seems like a win all around.
