Can you tell me if a CN will connect to either sector of a V5000 if it is dead centre or is there a gap between the sectors that at 150M would prevent a CN from connecting to either sector?
There is no dead zone between the sectors at the centre, the beam design has been tuned to overlap and inter-leave.
You have a choice what sector you wish to place this as it can connect to either one of the sectors. What we would advise is if there is another CN within 10-20 on the other sector you should use different channels to avoid interference on the sidelobes.
This doesn’t apply to CN’s on the same sector and if CNs on the other sector are >10deg from the centre you can still use the same frequency.
