LiDar aquisition

Never having priced a geospatial firm, it may not be cost effective anyway, but does Cambium have any partner arrangements or preferred geospatial vendors for collecting new LiDar data?

Say a new subdivision is built and we want a fresh LiDar collection for example. I assume entire coverage area collection would be very cost prohibitive, but single regions may not

So we have worked with some various groups in the past as needed, but I wouldn’t exactly say that we have a partnership with any of them. Please email us at cnheat@cambiumneworks.com, and I can share more info.

DJI have some LiDAR drones so I assume getting small amounts of LiDAR captured wouldn’t be too expensive?

Jesse, that’s a good point. When this DJI product line launched I had done some initial investigation. I think these drones could be had for $30-$40k (USD) new. There are probably used versions that are much more affordable. And the sample data I saw was really superb. If a customer can get us this data we would be more than happy to process it to load it into cnHeat.

Does Cambium actively persue updated LiDar loke the iphone and google ground collection?

Are there repositories we can check for public use and purchasable datasets?

This is the easiest source of truth for free LiDAR in the US.
