Hi,
I plan to install two PTP-670 radios on a 15m pole. The issue is that there is already other equipment installed on the same pole. Ideally I’d like to connect each radio to a 60cm/2ft dish antenna but I must not exceed the maximum weight the pole can support (a figure which I am yet to find out!).
The Cambium 2ft dish antenna (RDH4508C) weighs about 13 kg/27 lbs, so adding 2x13kg (plus the weight of the radios themselves) is likely to exceed the maximum weight limit.
I am therefore wondering if anyone has experience with other dish antennas with a similar gain of about 29 dBi but which are (much) lighter.
I acknowledge that the RDH4508C is built for durability and I am not criticizing its weight as such. It’s just a an issue with my particular set-up.
And to preempt some other suggestion, I have to use the existing pole or the project is not going ahead at all.
Thanks very much
Markus
