LINKPlanner v4.3.10 Release Now Available

A new release of the LINKPlanner is available from https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/files/linkplanner

The key features of V4.3.10 are:

New or changed features

  • Added ePMP 90/120 Sector Antenna
    • This provides a new antenna option for planning ePMP 1000. To plan the sector for 90 degree coverage choose the Nominal Beamwidth option under Sector Coverage in Project Properties, alternatively to plan the sector for 120 degree coverage choose the Enhanced option.
  • PMP/PTP 450i
    • Added 5.2 and 5.4 GHz for United States
      • This includes the 5 MHz bandwidth option and can connect to both 450i and 450/450d SMs.
    • Added 5 MHz bandwidth to ETSI
      • Note 450/450d SM are NOT supported with 5 MHz BW
    • Added Australia at 5.4 and 5.8 GHz
  • PTP 820
    • Added 32 GHz for PTP 820C and 26 and 38 GHz for PTP 820S
    • Added 40, 50, 56 and 60 MHz bandwidths for PTP 820C 2+0 with Spatial Diversity
    • Added 14 MHz Bandwidth for PTP 820G in 2+0 XPIC
    • Updated Occupied Bandwidth for Release 8.3
  • PTP 650 – Updated Japan regulations
  • General
    • Improved memory usage to allow saving of larger files
    • Improve the sort order process when exporting PMP tables to csv
    • The tables will be exported with the sort order shown
    • Allow SMs to be easily switched from one AP to another

To switch an SM from one AP to another either right click on the SM in the navigation tree or right click on the link in the Offline Map and from the menu choose the option Change Access Point

image001.png

This will provide a new selection window showing the other Access Points, where the SM is also within the maximum range and sector beamwidth. If the SM is not within the potential coverage area of any other Access Point the Change Access Point option will be greyed out and cannot be selected.

Select the new AP from the list provided and click OK, if the SM already has a link to that AP this will be highlighted below the list.

When an SM is moved from one AP to another its configuration (product, antenna type, antenna height, etc) will be maintained if the options are valid on the new AP, otherwise it will change to the default options for the new AP.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed error on ePMP PTP links when frame size set to Tolly Mix
  • Reinstated toolbar search functionality
  • Corrected error when exporting Subscriber Site Custom Field
    • Network Site Custom Fields were being exported instead of Subscriber Site Custom Fields
  • Fixed error when creating PMP Sales report
    • An error was raised when the link displayed the weather radar warning
  • Fixed issue when performance summary panel showing no information
  • Improved editing functionality to prevent loss of focus in text fields
    • Removed the automatic entry function, which means that a user now has to deliberately confirm the text entry by either selecting Return or clicking in another pane or active field. This mainly applies to name, description and custom fields.
  • Added sensitivity data to PTP 820G to correct performance calculations
  • Removed FCC Antenna warning from non-FCC countries
  • Fixed errors when duplicating integrated antennas
    • The duplicate antenna could trigger errors if applied to a link before the project had been saved and reopened. This was because the new antenna retained the behaviour of an integrated antenna rather than a connectorized antenna.
  • Corrected number of T1s available for PTP 820G
    • For small bandwidths and/or low modulation modes the list of T1s was being limited based on number of E1s supported, the list now shows number of T1s supported.
