A new release of the LINKPlanner is available from https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/files/linkplanner
The key features of V4.3.12 are:
New or changed features
- Added cnMedusa as Preliminary
- To select cnMedusa on the AP set the product to PMP 450m
- Select Operating Mode = Sector to see the AP Performance using the equivalent Legacy capacity scheduler
- Select Operating Mode = Downlink Mu-MIMO to see the AP Performance of the Mu-MIMO scheduler
- General
- Added ability to create a link to an AP from a subscriber site
This feature is available in two ways:
- Right click on a subscriber site in the navigation tree, this will bring up a window with a list of possible Access Points which are within range of the subscriber site. Select an Access Point and Choose OK
- Select the “New PMP Link from Subscriber Site” icon
.
- This will bring up a window with a list of subscriber sites on the left.
- Select the site required (use the search facility to reduce the list size).
- Once a subscriber site is selected a list of possible Access Points will be displayed on the right.
- Select the required Access Point
- If more subscribers need connecting select Create Link and the window will stay open after creating the link
- To connect only one subscriber site or for the last in the list select OK, the link will be created and the window closed
Note that if a subscriber is already connected to an Access Point a warning message will be shown and the link cannot be created.
- Added ability to change AP for multiple SMs
- Select the list of SMs from either the PMP Links table or the Links to Subscriber Modules table at the AP
- Note that the list of Access Points only contains Access Points that all SMs selected can be connected to. It is possible to select a list of SMs with no common Access Points, in which case the list will be empty.
- Reduced default SM Target Receive Level to -54 dBm
- This is a typical level for a network with frequency re-use.
- Removed notes from parts that are now available to order
- Added click-through image to start-up page to link to Cambium product information videos on Mac version
Bug Fixes
- Updated default priority of PMP AP antennas, so that ePMP defaults to Integrated antenna rather than PMP 450 antennas
- Corrected Fixed Tuned connector items in PTP 820i BOM at 11 GHz
- Removed N110080L004 which is not required for PTP 820i
- Corrected Lower 6 GHz antenna selection options for PTP 820i
- Added the full antenna selection for wider bandwidths
- Moved default position of Feeder Losses window for All Indoor link types to higher up the page so that the OK button is available on smaller monitors
- Corrected issues with SM Range so that only SMs within SM Range rather than Max Range are available for connection in the New PMP Link window
- Ensure that any profile changes (e.g added obstructions) are maintained when switching an SM between two APs on the same hub.
- Use the formatting rules to control the color of the AP name in the tree
