LINKPlanner v5.3.3 Patch updates

The attached patches fix the following issues:

  • PMP 450 Micropop has the wrong power supply and surge suppressor. The MicroPop requires 56 V supplies and not the 30V supplies used on the 450b. Note that the 30V supply is still in the optional extras but should NOT be selected for the MicroPop (this will be removed in the next release).
  • When the default clutter heights are changed a newly created link was appearing using the default heights until the project had been saved and re-opened when it corrected to the configured heights, this patch uses the correct heights as soon as a link is created.
  • There is an error generated if the Calc Tilt function is used on an AP with a channel plan configured when there are multiple channel plans in the list with different colour schemes.

Before installing the patch please ensure that you are using LINKPlanner V5.3.3 and if not upgrade first.

To install the patch on Windows:

  • Close LINKPlanner
  • Download the attached zip file to a neutral location such as the desktop. Unzip it and extract the files.
  • Open the LINKPlanner installation directory in Explorer (e.g. <C:\Program Files\Cambium Networks\LINKPlanner>)
  • Navigate to the folder "link_planner\model"
  • Place “channel_plan.pyc” and “generic.pyc” in the “model” directory
  • Navigate to the folder “link_planner\model\serialise”
  • Place “format_v2.pyc” into this directory
  • Navigate to the folder “link_planner\equipment\products”
  • Place “pmp450_micropop.pyc" into this directory
  • Start LINKPlanner

To install the patch on MacOS:

  • Close LINKPlanner
  • Download and unzip the attached patch
  • Open the "Applications" folder in Finder
  • Right-click on "LINKPlanner.app" and click "Show Package Contents"
  • Navigate to the folder "Contents/Resources/lib/python2.7"
  • Unzip "site-packages.zip"
  • Remove the "site-packages.zip" file (if it is still there) to leave a "site-packages" folder
  • Navigate to the folder "site-packages/link_planner/model"
  • Place “channel_plan.pyc” and “generic.pyc” in the “model” directory
  • Navigate to the folder “site-packages/link_planner/model/serialise”
  • Place “format_v2.pyc” into this directory
  • Navigate to the folder “site-packages/link_planner/equipment/products”
  • Place “pmp450_micropop.pyc" into this directory
  • Start LINKPlanner
