LINKPlanner online has been updated to version 6.3.0
The key features of the 6.3.0 release are:
UI Changes
-
Added top menu bar which contains Project, Reports, Import, Export, Preferences and Help menu options.
Top menu bar is added, and key project features are moved to the top menu bar.
The Projects menu bar has options to save or discard project changes. It also includes the option to create a new project, import an existing LINKPlanner project, and view the project list.
The Reports menu bar includes options to generate and export Project-level Proposal reports and FCC License Coordination reports.
Use the Import menu bar to import Network and Subscriber Sites.
The Export menu bar includes options to export LINKPlanner project, export to Google Earth and 60 GHz cnWave cnMaestro exports.
The Preferences and Help features are now also available in the top menu bar.

Left menu bar has changed from a list view to a tree view.
The tree view should be familiar to desktop LINKPlanner users. The number of sites/network devices is displayed next to each menu title name. To expand or collapse each menu, click on the expand/collapse icon located to the left of the menu item.
To delete or locate Sites, PTP Links, Network Devices, Mesh Links, or PMP Links in the tree view, move the cursor over the item name. The locate on map and delete icons will be displayed. Click on these icons to locate or delete the item.
Click on Show Map to go to map view. Use the Search Project field to search for items in the project using name and map filters.

Added delete button in Network Device, SM, Site, PTP detail page tool bar.
Click on delete icon to delete Sites, Network Devices or Links. This command is located in the toolbar that is displayed at the top of the detail panel for each item.

Added detailed pop-up help for the different features.
Hover over the map tools in the right menu bar to see detailed pop-up help for the features.
These messages can be hidden by clicking “Hide these messages” button on the pop-up window.
Alternatively, this feature can be enabled or disabled in the “Preferences” page by checking or unchecking the option.

Added performance details charts to the PTP, PMP and Mesh links.
View the performance of PTP, PMP, and Mesh links in both chart and detail views by clicking on the appropriate tabs in the Performance Details section

Added site name template to the Network and Subscriber Site map tools.
Use the Site Name template option in the Network and Subscriber map tools to create the desired site names on the map. Each time you click on the map, the site numbers will be automatically incremented. Use ‘#’ in the template where number increments are needed.
AFC

Added product specific lookup to the AFC feature.
Select the required product from the drop-down menu. If the product’s GPS antenna is external, the Horizontal and Vertical Distance fields will be displayed. Enter the external antenna details in these fields to view accurate AFC lookup EIRP limits in the 6 GHz band.
PTP 820/850

Added 2+0 Spatial Diversity, 1+1 HSB, 2+2 link types to the PTP 820C, PTP 820C HP, PTP 820A with RFU-D and PTP 820A with RFU-D HP products.

Added PTP 820A with RFU-D in the Lower 6 GHz, Upper 6 GHz, 7 GHz, 8 GHz, 11 GHz, 13 GHz, 15 GHz, 18 GHz and 23 GHz band.

Now PTP820A with RFU-D/RFU-D HP is available for FCC/IC and ETSI bands.

Added 375 MHz T/R Spacing for PTP 820G with RFU-C under the 8 GHz band and “Other” regulation.
To use 375 MHz T/R Spacing for PTP820G with RFU-C in 8 GHz band, select “Other” Regulation and then select the 375 MHz T/R Spacing option. Bandwidth options available are 7, 14, 28 and 56 MHz.

Added 160 MHz bandwidth for PTP 850C under “Other” regulation.
To use 160 MHz bandwidth for PTP 850C in 11 GHz and 18 GHz band, select “Other” Regulation.

Added 80 MHz bandwidth for PTP 850C, PTP 820S, PTP 820C HP, PTP 820F with RFU-D/RFU-D HP and PTP 820A with RFU-D/RFU-D HP products under the Upper 6 GHz band and ETSI regulation.

Added FCC License Coordination report.
To generate FCC License Coordination report for PTP 820/850 links, go to Reports in the top menu bar and click on the FCC License Coordination option. This will open the FCC License Coordination link selection pop-up page. Select the links for which the License Coordination report is needed, then click the OK button.
Once the report is ready for download, a message with a download icon will appear on the right side of the LINKPlanner page. Click on the icon to download the report.
PTP 700

Added PTP 700 product support. TDD Sync is not supported in this release.
PTP 45700 and PTP 78700 products are now available in PTP mode. To use PTP 45700 radios, select the 4.7 to 5.8 GHz frequency bands. For PTP 78700 radios, choose the 7 and 8 GHz frequency bands.
The following link types are available when both the local and remote products selected are the same.

- 2+0
In this release, only Internal Sync is supported. Configure the internal synchronization parameters in the TDD Synchronization section.
PMP 450

Added PMP 450v 2x2 SM.
The PMP 450v 2x2 product is available as a subscriber module for PMP 450 APs. The SM can be configured to use two component carriers if it is attached to a PMP 450v 4x4 AP, provided the AP is configured with one carrier and two component carriers.

Select the option ‘2’ under the Component Carriers field in the Component Carriers section to configure the PMP 450v 4x4 AP with two component carriers in a single carrier.

Added the capability to export cnMaestro compatible Node and Link files for quicker provisioning.

Removed multipath availability calculations for 60 GHz cnWave products. Only rain availability is calculated for the product.
Multipath calculations have been removed for the cnWave 60 GHz products, as they use narrow beam directional antennas it is recommended that they are only deployed in clear line-of-sight (LOS) conditions.

Added project level proposal report for export.
To generate the Project Proposal Report, go to Reports in the top menu bar, and then click Project Proposal Report. The report will start processing, and once the file is ready for download, the icon will change to Click this icon to download the report.
Note that if any changes are made to the project, the previous report will be deleted, and the icon will revert back to
Bug Fixes
- Ensured that the correct ODU parts are selected for the PTP 820A product with T/R spacing of 530 MHz in the 11 GHz band.
- Removed 2.5 Gbps throughput limit for the PTP 820A product with Fiber Optic cable.
- Fixed the issue of clearing the Tx frequency when there is a change in Tx frequency for 2+0 and 4+0 link types of licensed products.
- Corrected SFP part quantity for the PTP 850EX product.
- Fixed issue with “Select locations in map” the Viewshed feature.
- Fixed the issue of being unable to create Upper 6 GHz viewshed.
- Making sure that Network Devices move with site when offset are removed.
- Ensuring that the ‘Power from switch?’ option is retained according to the user’s selection when the Sync Sources are changed for the product.
