LINKPlanner v6.3.1 Now Released

LINKPlanner online has been updated to version 6.3.1

The key features of the 6.3.1 release are:

ePMP

  • Added backward compatibility between ePMP 4500 series AP (11ax) with 11ac SMs.

Below 11ac SM products are added for ePMP 4500, ePMP 4500C and ePMP 4500L APs.

ePMP Force 300 CSM

ePMP Force 300-19R
ePMP Force 300-25
ePMP Force 300-25L

  • Added Beamforming mode for the ePMP 4500, ePMP 4500C and ePMP 4600 APs.

ePMP 4500, ePMP 4500C, and ePMP 4600 APs are now enabled with Beamforming mode. This is the only mode these APs operate in within LINKPlanner.

  • Updated ePMP 11ax capacity algorithm

The capacity algorithm has been updated to include backward compatibility for 11ax APs with 11ac SMs.

  • Updated sensitivity levels for ePMP Force 4525 and Force 4525L to Release 5.9.0
  • Added ePMP Force 4525L Feedhorn parts to the Optional Extras.

Go to the “Kits” folder and select the required Feedhorn under New Extra for the ePMP Force 4525L to upgrade existing dish SMs, including the Force 300-25, Force 300-25L, Force 200, and Force 200L

PMP 450

  • Updated FCC regulations for PMP 450b6 SM product.

PTP 820/850

  • Added N000000L179 PSU to the PTP 850EX Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Added 375 MHz T/R Spacing for PTP 820A with RFU-D HP under the 8 GHz band and “Other” regulation.

To use 375 MHz T/R Spacing for PTP820A with RFU-D HP in 8 GHz band, select “Other” Regulation and then select the 375 MHz T/R Spacing option. Bandwidth options available are 28 and 56 MHz.

  • Added 315 MHz and 322 MHz T/R Spacing for PTP 820A with RFU-D under the 15 GHz band and “ETSI” regulation.

To use 315 MHz or 322 MHz T/R Spacing for PTP820A with RFU-D in 15 GHz band, select “ETSI” Regulation and then select the 315 MHz or 322 MHz T/R Spacing option. Bandwidth options available are 7, 14, 28 and 56 MHz.

  • Added CommScope HX10-11W-6GF antenna in 11 GHz band for licensed PTP 820/850 products.

The CommScope HX10-11W-6GF antenna is only available when remote mount is selected for PTP 820/850 products in the 11 GHz band.

  • Retired PTP 820G Single Modem part and replaced with Dual Modem part.
  • Retired PTP 820C product in all bands.

General

  • Added project level BOM spreadsheet export

To export the project level Bill of Materials (BOM) in a spreadsheet, click on Reports in the top menu bar and then select Project BOM Spreadsheet.

This initiates the export process. The icon changes to image005. Once the export is ready for download, the icon changes toimage006. Click onimage006 to download the spreadsheet.

The BOM spreadsheet contains tabs for Index, Full BOM, and other sections, including Full PTP, Switch, PMP AP, and PMP Subscriber BOM, as well as individual PTP link BOMs in separate tab.

  • Added an option to create sites from the Network Sites and Subscriber Sites table views.

To add network or subscriber sites from the Site Table view, click the image008 button located in the top-left corner of the table. This opens the New Site pop-up window. Enter site details such as Name, Height, and Coordinates.

Click image010 to add the site.

The Site Name is based on the name set in the Site template on the map toolbar page.

  • Added a confirmation dialog when the delete viewshed option is clicked.

Bug Fixes

  • Corrected PTP 820A with RFU-D HP TX powers
  • Fixed the issue where the correct Tx/Rx frequency was unable to be set for PTP 820/850 2+0 and 4+0 link types.
  • Ensured that performance requirements can be set independently for each path of PTP 820/850 2+0 and 4+0 link types.
  • Fixed the issue where LINKPlanner was crashing when switching from PTP 820/850 2+0 XPIC link type to 4+0 XPIC link type
  • Fixed the issue on the AFC page where Antenna Height, Horizontal Distance, and Vertical Distance fields were locked for editing.
  • Removed the GPS puck kit from the ePMP Force 4625 ROW BOM.
  • Ensured that LINKPlanner projects with custom antennas import without errors
  • Fixed the issue where the “No” and “Close” buttons were unresponsive in the TP import dialog
  • Ensured that the selection in the profile chart consistently matches the click location when editing the path profile.
  • Fixed the issue where the user was unable to add the TX1000 tower switch to the sites.
  • Ensured that new network sites created using the map toolbar are visible in the network site list when the “Use Map View to Filter” option is enabled.
